Transport and Erection of a 30t and a 120t-Footbridge

Two footbridges weighted 30t and 120t were built in Mainland China and sea-freighted to a public harbour in Chek Lap Kok. The moon-shape 120t-bridge was loaded on a Goldhofer 4-axle lowbed trailer and a THP4.  Manivest used their 6x6 Mercedes Benz 3853AS tractor to pull the bridge for 2 kilometers and their Liebherr LTM1400 was set up to lift the bridge at the destination - the new headquarter of Cathay Pacific Airways.

After the LTM1400 lifting up the 120t-bridge, the MB 3853AS and the Goldhofer trailers were freed and this time the 30t-bridge was loaded on the extended lowbed trailer by a Demag AC615.  Roads were blocked and the job was carried out from 1am to 7am in the morning.
